Irene Higgenbothom

Today marked the end of an era for me as Irene Higgenbothom.

This morning in Grace Place, I played Irene for the last time in "Queen Irene and the Seven or So Hillbillies." Queen Irene finally became a Christian and got her man all in the same morning! Whew! What a run I had for 13 years.

As a member of the writing team/cast of Grace Place, I had the priviledge of working alongside many fine actors/actresses all for the glory of God. But it's time to move on. I will miss the cast and crew and the K-2 kids we ministered to each Sunday.

There will never be another Irene (and there are some of you out there who are quite happy about that!) Can I get an amen?

Well, I am going to miss Irene. I'm sure she'll never be far from us, though. Wherever men gather, she'll be there. Wherever caulking sized tubes of bright lipstick are sold, she'll be there. Wherever poor social skills exist, tacky clothing is sold, cheap perfume is hawked at truckstops by middle-aged women in Chysler K cars, and men gath.....never mind, you get the picture. Shasteen, great character with latent tendencies. Where does she start and you end? Thank you for your service to our kids, and our Lord, and ODF at large. You are a good friend and have a precious spirit. Rock on. Bobby Warren

May she rest in peace. What a great day for you. I sure wish that I could have been there. I look forward to hearing more details when we get together for our trip. Thank you so much for your many years of ministry in Grace Place. You have honored Grace Place, the team, the kids, ODF, and Jesus by all that you have given. You are a gem among gems and I am proud to claim you as one of my dearest friends in this world.
Love, Louise
